It clarifies the approach we take in our "Prep For Sale" process.
When you buy one of our vehicles you can rest assured that you
are getting one of the nicest Volkswagen Campers available anywhere.
The most consistent comment we get from our customers when they first
see one of our campers in person is... " Wow, it looks new! ".
We look at dozens of vehicles a year to consider purchasing.
We pass on at least 80% of them. We won't even consider starting in on
one of these beauties if it isn't clear that it has been well cared for and
has led a pampered life. We do not attempt to revive "mostly dead" campers.
Good Bones Are Required!
Our extensive inspection process qualifies Derr Vans vehicles for ASC Warranty's "Certified Pre-Owned" program. We use two different independent, outside mechanics shops for all mechanical repairs of our camper inventory. Both shops specialize in and are very familiar with VW Eurovans. We are extremely lucky to have them to work with. With their help and expertise we address any and all mechanical issues that are found. We also have all the RV components inspected, serviced and repaired as needed by an RV specialist.
We are a family run boutique business. We take very special care in preparing our vehicles for our clients and only offer up 15 - 20 of our campers for sale each year. Trying to do more could compromise our process. In addition to going through and fixing all mechanical issues we find, our standard operating procedures include these few, but we think...important extras on them all.

Our vehicles aren't perfect but they are close. They are all at least 20 years old and require care and attention. But, they all leave us in way better than average condition compared to what else is available out there.
