Derr Vans came into being as a direct result of my forty plus years of friendships and various love affairs with my Volkswagen Camper Vans.  Over these forty some years I have proven to be a serial monogamist with these little beauties!

My first indulgence was with a 1968 Volkswagen Transporter bus.   He was my shadow and my shade for a number of years.   Then, I strayed for a while with a Dodge van.  It was OK but a good friend of mine had a Westy and I couldn't resist returning to the fold.  So, I settled in with my first full VW camper.   That being a 1978 Volkswagen Westfalia Camper.   We palled around together for the next eight or ten years until I moved up and into my 1990 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia.   We had the typical love hate relationship that many Vanagon owners have come to know and accept.   Still, she stuck with me for the better part of twenty years of adventures.  (which is more than can be said for many love affairs)    Then, I moved into my first Eurovan, a 2002 MV that was my constant road companion as a plein air painter over the next ten years.

Next, and finally, came our 2003 Eurovan Winnebago Camper Van.   The Eurovans are a dream come true after our days with the beloved 1990 Vanagon Westy.  

Power - acceleration - dependability!  Wow, what a concept!  Some might disagree but, in my humble opinion, Eurovans are significantly more reliable vehicles.

So, here I am...at Derr Vans!  The Eurovan campers are truly amazing vehicles.  Finding really clean ones isn't easy.  We take whatever time is required to search out the best examples of these campers.  We then go through them carefully and make sure they have a clean bill of health mechanically and are all spruced up cosmetically.  

Also, we always include a two year ASC Nationwide Warranty when you purchase one of our vans so you can drive away with full confidence in your new camper!   

 

I have logged hundreds of thousands of miles in these vehicles over the years.  In doing so I've become intimately knowledgeable about them out of necessity...and, out of desire.  Many people that own these campers are individuals that take immaculate care of their vehicles.  They, as I, fall in love with their four wheeled friends and treat them with much care and consideration.  Those loved and pampered campers are the vehicles you will find us offering up on the pages of this website. 

If cared for properly any Eurovan camper can easily hit the three hundred and fifty thousand mile mark.
